On Friday, November 21, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., the Oregon City Police Department was contacted by staff at the Clackamas Academy of Industrial Sciences (CAIS) regarding written threats of harm discovered in a couple of the school’s bathrooms.
Over the weekend, the school district made the decision to cancel classes on Monday, November 24, while the investigation remained ongoing.
On November 24, at about 12:30 p.m., an OCPD School Resource Officer identified the individual responsible for the threats—a 13-year-old CAIS student. The student was taken into custody without incident for Threat of Harm and Disorderly Conduct II.
