[ARCHIVED] Oregon City Building Permit Coordinator Receives State Recognition

Bogart-awardA member of Oregon City’s Building Division staff was recognized in front of her peers at a state-wide conference last week.

Megan Bogart is a Permit Technician with Oregon City’s Community Development Department. She was named as the “2023 Permit Technician of the Year” at the Oregon Building Officials Association conference.

Bogart was nominated by her management for the way she was able to keep the department running during the network outage the City faced earlier this year. “I’m not sure where we’d be without her extra efforts. What I do know is she did an incredible job and keeps on moving forward. It’s been a tough season, but when your Permit Coordinator is Meg Bogart, it helps so very much.”

Already known as a vital link in the department, it was Bogart’s leadership that was vital in ensuring the department could continue to meet the needs of the community. By overseeing the pivot to handwritten applications and reports as well as careful record keeping, the department’s work was able to continue and necessary data re-entered into the system when it was restored.

Bogart has worked for Oregon City seven years.
