  • Placement costs, also called opening and closing costs, are labor and administrative fees associated with opening and closing of a grave, crypt or niche. The placement fee is the responsibility of the representative of the family and must be paid in full 3 business days before the day of burial. Placement fees are due at the time of coordinating for a burial and cannot be paid as part of a pre-payment plan through the Cemetery.

  • Yes, one ground casket burial lot will accommodate a maximum of one casket and 4 cremation burials, or a combination of cremains and bronze inscription vases to equal 4. The full body burial must take place before any cremation burials, unless the first cremation is placed under where the headstone will sit.

  • The office requires a 2 to 3 business days notice for all for casket and cremation.  Specific date and time must be coordinated through both the Cemetery and Funeral Home.

  • Only one headstone is allowed on each burial site, and must be of standard size requirements per Cemetery. Companion markers, intended to embrace two casket or cremation burial lots are permitted. Please refer to our “Marker Setting Rules and Regulations” form or additional information.

  • No plantings of any kind will be permitted on graves.  Any unauthorized plantings will be removed by the Cemetery.

    Cemetery personnel manage all plants of trees and shrubs in accordance with a general plan for the landscaping of the grounds.

  • Seasonal decorations will be allowed beginning three days prior to any holiday recognized by the City which includes Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Seasonal decorations must be removed within 7 days after the holiday or the property will be deemed “abandoned” and removed by Cemetery personal.

  • Human remains to be interred in the Mausoleum must be embalmed. Ground burial does not require embalming of human remains.

  • The owner of a burial lot, crypt, or niche has the right to transfer ownership, reassign or give written permission for the burial of the cremains in a grave. 

    Burial lots cannot be sold by owner.  The Cemetery will refund original purchase price back to the owner for any lots not intended for use.  All transfers, reassignments, or additional burials must be coordinated through the office.

  • The cemetery is open for visitors 7 days a week. Gates open at dawn and close at dusk daily.  These hours vary throughout the year as daylight hours change.
