2025 Adult Summer Reading Program

The Oregon City Public Library Adult Summer Reading Program is designed for adults of all abilities from ages 18 to 180. Participants can read (or listen to) any level book, from any collection, in any format they choose.

Starting June 1, you can sign up at the reference desk (upstairs) OR through Beanstack. 

FREE BAG:

• For signing up you get a free clear stadium bag (while supplies last!)
• The bag must be picked up in person at the Reference Desk even if you signed up online
• The bag includes sunglasses and a stress ball

• Instructions and printouts of the four optional activities are also inside

ACTIVITIES:

• Read books, graphic novels, magazines, audiobooks
  • Each item read gives an entry for a Grand Prize or Treasure Chest Prize
  • Online participants enter the tickets through Beanstack
  • Paper participants put their paper reading logs into the glass jars up at the Ref Desk

• Complete OPTIONAL activities

  • Crytogram, Maze, Word Search, Bingo
• Optional activities give an extra ticket for prize drawings (but you can just read more books if you don't want to do them)
• Bingo gives an extra option for a "Black out" and you get some extra stuff (see below)
• All the activities are paper based - Beanstack players get copies in their sign-up bags, and also have access to the PDF files in Beanstack
  • In Beanstack players click complete and get an online ticket to enter the drawing of their choice
  • Paper players bring their papers up to the Ref Desk and put their entries in the jars up there
  • You can't do both, you are either online or paper

PRIZES:

• Every week we draw TWO Treasure Chest winners, they come in and get:
  • a gift card from Dutch Bros
  • a free book from the Friends
  • a prize from the Treasure Chest
• At the end of summer we draw FOUR Grand Prize winners. Each prize basket has a nice tablet computer and additional themed prizes
• Bingo blackout winners get
  • a free book from the Friends
  • a prize from the Treasure Chest
