Police Patrol Operations
The Patrol Operations Division is comprised of 8 sergeants and 32 officers. The sworn personnel of this division makes up three different shifts with a mission to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Oregon City.

Homeless Liaison Officer
The Homeless Liaison Officer (HLO) works to assess the homeless individual's problems and identifies how to help them with a range of solutions. The HLO utilizes community resources and partners to provide outreach to homeless individuals and homeless families throughout Oregon City.

K9 Unit
The K9 Unit provides specialized support to the Patrol and Detective branches of the department. K9 teams respond to assist department operations on a city-wide basis, seven days a week, 24 hours a day, and also assist with emergency calls for service.

Resource Officers
The Resource Officers allow the Oregon City Police Department the opportunity to have direct interaction with school staff, students, parents, and citizens in our community. Their goal is to establish a safe environment for the learning process and eliminate barriers between youth, young adults, and the police. Public safety and law enforcement are the primary responsibility of the Resource Officers, with an emphasis on prevention.

Traffic Safety Division
The mission of the Traffic Division is to create a safer community by enforcing traffic safety laws, educating citizens, and assisting in solving traffic-related problems. The Traffic Unit uses several means to conduct its mission including the use of radar speed detection devices, Collision investigation is another primary function of the Traffic Division; officers respond as needed to report collisions in Oregon City.
