2013 Memorial Day Celebration

TrumpeterMonday, May 27, 2013, Master of Ceremony David Bone warmly welcomed approximately 300 attendees to the Memorial Day Celebration at Mountain View Cemetery.

The event began at 10 am with an invocation from Pastor Tom Hurt; followed by a Presentation of Colors from the Oregon City High School JROTC and the National Anthem was sung by Anna-Marie Wood. Other ceremony participants included Keynote Speaker, Ken Kraft CPT (RET) U.S. Army VFW Post 1324; music by Gardiner Middle School Band, directed by Cheri Rizzo; performance by the Clackamas Fire District Number 1 Bagpipers; Placement of Flowers announced by James McDonald (RET) U.S. Navy VFW Post 1324; with benediction led by Pastor Tom Hurt and Taps performed by Randy Leasure. Activities were provided for the children followed by a BBQ.
