Caring Court

Oregon City Caring Court is a problem-solving, community-based court designed to address low-level offenses through restorative practices, social services, and meaningful accountability. Caring Court helps reduce future criminal behavior by connecting participants to supportive services tailored to meet their needs, identifying root causes of crime. Instead of jail, fines, or probation, participants complete a plan that combines community service and social service programs. Those who finish successfully often have their charges dismissed.

Caring Court partners with community organizations through a co-located Service mall, offering easy access to resources such as to-go meals, health benefits, job training, life skills, mental health and addiction services. Each participant in Caring Court is partnered with a case manager to guide them and support long term success.
