After nearly 20 years without a significant change, we worked together to update our sign regulations to better meet the needs of Oregon City residents and businesses now and into the future. The Oregon City Municipal Code currently has limitations on the type, quantity, size, and material of signage allowed on public and private property. We have partnered with the community to adopt changes to the regulations which were effective November 1, 2015.
Please note the City will not consider regulations regarding the content of a sign. Impermissible content-based regulations would include anything that focuses on the message of the sign such as "For Sale," or any social or political commentary expressed on the sign.
Please fill out a sign permit application for each sign needing a permit and attach a site plan, valuation calculation, and dimensional specifications to the permit and upload it to the Land Use Application Submittal page. If you have multiple signs you can identify them in a shared submittal package (Sign "a", "b" "c")
A planner will contact you within 24 hours with an invoice.
