Behavioral Health Specialist
This position provides crisis intervention, case management, consultation and referral for a variety of individuals in need. Other duties include outreach engagement of clients and families struggling with symptoms of mental illness and substance abuse. This position will provide additional resources and training for not only the police department but other City departments and the community.

Code Enforcement
Code Enforcement responds to citizen complaints by determining if a violation has occurred, alerting the responsible party of a violation, and enforcing compliance through the legal process. The department also investigates livability concerns in the community.

Community Service Officer
The Community Service Officer performs law enforcement-related community services work that does not require the enforcement authority of a sworn police officer. The Community Service Officer (CSO) takes information on crimes or incidents that are of a non-emergency nature.

Detective Unit
The Detective Unit is comprised of a Detective Sergeant and three detectives. The Detective Unit's main objective is to work hand-in-hand with the uniform officers of the patrol division to identify and apprehend criminal offenders, with a special emphasis on the investigation of major crimes. Through this cooperation, both units operate efficiently to apprehend offenders and resolve cases.

Police Records Unit
Police Records Specialists are non-sworn personnel who are responsible for data entry, control, maintenance, and retrieval of police reports. The records unit assists with citizen inquiries both in person and on the telephone. The unit is comprised of two Police Records Specialists, a Senior Records Specialist, and is supervised by the Support Captain.

Property / Evidence
The Property and Evidence Unit is responsible for storing and safeguarding evidence, found property, relinquished property, and property for safekeeping. The unit assists in processing major crime scenes including the gathering, processing, storage, and retrieval of evidence.
