802 Van Buren Street

This corner house has entrances on both 8th and Van Buren Streets. The Van Buren entrance, as the primary address, is also architecturally the dominant entrance with a brick veneer entrance that corbels out into a gable to top it off. A large picture bay window also faces Van Buren, while the rest of the windows are 6/1 double-hung wood. The yard sits up above the street held in place by a board formed concrete retaining wall. An associated garage sits in back and actually faces onto 8th street. The only significant alterations are a back porch and trellis that appear to be with the last 10 years. An external chimney protrudes from the south wall.

This property is located within the McLoughlin Conservation District but is not a locally designated historic site. Contact ocplanning@orcity.org for more information.
