Natural Resources Committee

  • Canemah Bluff parkDo you love the outdoors?
  • Do you love to take hikes, garden, or just walk around your neighborhood looking at the trees?
  • Are you interested in serving your community and making a difference locally?

If this sounds like you, then the Oregon City Natural Resources Committee is looking for you!

We are looking for people to join our team to help protect the natural resources we have in our town. You do not need to be an expert to serve on this committee!

The Natural Resource Committee (NRC) is an advisory committee to the Planning Commission and City Commission. Committee members work closely with city staff to promote policies to protect, restore and enhance the environmental quality of Oregon City.

What is the time commitment?

A minimum commitment of 3-6 hours a month is normal. We meet once a month (the second Wednesday) at 6pm (and we are still on Zoom for people who are not able to meet in person).   Meetings are open to the public and usually last less than 2 hours.

How do I apply?

Citizens with an interest in or knowledge of natural resources are encouraged to apply at https://onboard.orcity.org/apply/. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.
