CLARA FIELDS RESIDENCE c.1914 -- Statement of Significance: Clara Fields was the widow of Thomas Fields, a retail grocer in the Oregon City area who was born in Kentucky in 1833. Clara had this house built after his death, which was prior to 1900. Clara was born in Pennsylvania in 1847. She had two sons, Thomas E. Fields (who as instrumental in bringing the electric interurban south to Canemah), and George P. Fields. The house has been substantially altered.
