c. 1870 or 1903 -- Statement of Significance: The history of this property is obscure. The current owners claim the interior has hand-hewn beams, and that newspapers stuffed in the walls date from the late 1860s. the house itself appears from the exterior to have been built around the turn of the century, but the owners claim that the roof line has been altered and that many alterations have been made, the most recent of which has been to restore the building. The house has some historic significance because of its possible associatin with C.W. Ganong, a prominent local citizen. The house is a typical vernacular house, and if it does date from the 1870s, has been much altered.
