207 Washington Street

This 1-1/2 story minimal tract residence has a rectangular plan with a modest front entry. It sits on a board formed concrete foundation and is clad in wide wood shingles. The front gabled roof is covered with composition shingling. The windows include a variety of styles: 4/1 wood single-hung in front gable, large, fixed aluminum picture windows on front elevation, and aluminum sliding windows on the side elevations. Decorative shutters have been added to the gable window and one shutter to each picture window at the outer edge. The front porch consists of a concrete stoop covered by a gabled roof. The roof is supported by shaped brackets and has an arched ceiling. The concrete stairs have wrought iron railings. Symmetry is emphasized on the front elevation, not only by the window, shutter and porch placement, but also by symmetrical landscaping. The house matches its neighbor to the north (209).

This property is located within the McLoughlin Conservation District but is not a locally designated historic site. Contact ocplanning@orcity.org for more information.
